In surgery hours, 8.30am-6.30pm Mon-Fri, 9.00am-12.00pm Sat, genuine emergencies will always be seen at Churnet Valley Vets as soon as possible. Please telephone the surgery on 01538 360222 beforehand if possible to alert us to your situation and estimated time of arrival.

After normal surgery hours, Churnet Valley Vets has arranged for emergency cases to be seen at the specialized emergency clinic, Vets Now. Vets Now is manned by a qualified team of vets and nurses who work entirely in emergency veterinary medicine. The staff only provide emergency cover out of normal hours, so are fresh to deal with emergencies. In an out of hours emergency please telephone Vets Now on 01782 417882.

How to get to the Vets Now Emergency Clinic (Stoke on Trent)

From the A520 (South, Stone)
Approaching from the south on the A520, look for the mini-roundabout at Rough Close where you should take the second left onto Lightwood Road (A5005), signposted ‘Longton’. At the Florence roundabout take the 2nd exit onto the A5005, signposted ‘City Centre, Uttoxeter A50’. Turn right onto Lockett’s Lane where you will see Vets Now on the left.

From the A500 (West, Stoke-on-Trent)

Whether approaching on the A500 from the west (M6) or from the north (Stoke) leave the A500 at the Sideway roundabout taking the 2nd exit onto the A50, signposted ‘Uttoxeter, Derby’. Branch left, then at Longton roundabout take the 2nd exit, signposted ‘Uttoxeter, Derby’. At the next roundabout take the 4th exit onto Lightwood Road (A5005) and continue over two more roundabouts following signs to ‘Stone’. Turn left onto Lockett’s Lane where you will see Vets Now on the left.
